Integration guide
Use OTRouter in CC Switch
Add OTRouter as a direct Anthropic Messages provider for Claude Desktop. Use the Router root URL, your Team API key and a Claude model discovered from the public catalog.
Exact configuration
Use these values in the Claude Desktop provider form. OTRouter already implements the Messages contract, so CC Switch does not need to translate the protocol or model.
Base URL
https://router.omnitools.aiEnter this service root exactly. Do not append /v1, /v1/messages or /v1/responses; Claude Desktop constructs the protocol-specific paths.
Application
Claude DesktopOpen the Claude Desktop app entry in CC Switch. The Claude Code entry is a separate configuration.
Mode
Direct modeChoose a custom provider that Claude Desktop can reach directly.
API format
Anthropic MessagesDo not select OpenAI Responses API or Chat Completions. Router handles any internal route conversion.
Needs model mapping
OffLeave model mapping disabled because OTRouter exposes Claude-compatible model IDs and Messages.
API Key
OTRouter Team API KeyCreate the key in Console and paste it here. Do not use an upstream provider key.
Models
Auto-discovered claude-*Keep the manual model list disabled, fetch models automatically and select a returned claude-* ID.
CC Switch appends the request paths
Claude Desktop discovers models at /v1/models?limit=1000 and sends inference to /v1/messages or /v1/messages?beta=true. These are request paths, not values to append to the Base URL field.
Set up the provider
Create one attributable credential, add the provider and activate it in Claude Desktop.
- 01
Create a Team API key
In Console, create a dedicated key for CC Switch. Copy the secret while it is visible and set a rolling spend limit if needed.
- 02
Add a custom provider
Open Claude Desktop in CC Switch, click add, choose Custom configuration and name the provider OTRouter.
- 03
Enter the exact settings
Paste the root Base URL and Team API key, select Anthropic Messages and Direct mode, then keep Needs model mapping off.
- 04
Enable OTRouter
Save the provider, click Enable and choose one of the automatically discovered claude-* models.
Fully restart Claude Desktop
Claude Desktop does not hot-reload provider changes. Fully quit the application, including its background process, then open it again after enabling OTRouter.
Verify the integration
Confirm discovery, inference and attribution before relying on the configuration.
Model discovery succeeds
Claude Desktop shows Claude models returned by OTRouter without a manually maintained model list.
A real message completes
Start a new conversation and confirm that a streamed response completes with the selected claude-* model.
Console shows the same request
Open Requests and filter by the CC Switch API key. The request should use Messages and show its public model, token usage, status and charge.
