A positive balance starts a request; actual usage determines the final charge.
Before a call
A positive Team balance is required to start a new request.
At settlement
Requests settle against actual measured usage, including a failed response that consumed tokens. A request may leave the balance below zero; additional calls wait until Credits are added.
One request, one charge
Each Request ID with reported usage produces at most one charge, including when requests settle concurrently.
Pricing FAQ
How is one request charged?
For Token billing, OTRouter calculates uncached input, cache writes, cache reads and output separately at their applicable rates, then adds the four charges. Video models use their stated billing unit, such as seconds or requests.
Can automatic routing change my price?
The public model ID stays the same. Fixed-price models use their published model rates. Supply-priced models use the applicable quote for the route actually used, so automatic fallback may change the rate charged.
Can I buy Credits online?
Yes. Team owners can top up Credits from Billing in Console. Credits are added after Stripe confirms payment.
